A cricket bowling assessment, as part of our Fast Bowling Program, involves a cricket-specific physiotherapy screening and a biomechanical evaluation of your bowling technique. These services aim to identify and correct any abnormal physical or technical factors that may be contributing to injury, to prevent injuries from occurring, and to improve your bowling performance overall.
We will conduct a physical screening specific for cricket and use video analysis to assess your bowling technique. From these sessions you will receive:
- A comprehensive document summarizing the key findings from the physiotherapy screening, including specific strength and conditioning recommendations.
- A fast bowling information booklet covering physical performance topics such as nutrition, hydration, warming-up, bowling workloads, flexibility, strength, fitness and recovery.
- A CD/DVD of your bowling technique with electronic chalkboard feedback.
- A comprehensive written report regarding your bowling technique including drills and recommendations to improve your action.
Your coach and/or treating practitioner will also be sent a summary of the findings and recommendations.
A cricket bowling assessment is claimable on your private health insurance.
