Since graduating in 2001 from the University of Auckland, Gwen has gained extensive experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and particularly enjoys treating active youngsters. In 2005 she traveled with the Victorian Gymnastics team as their Physiotherapist to the National Championships and later that year worked at the World Championships. She continues to work closely with local gymnasts and regularly covers major state events. Gwen also has a strong interest in the treatment and management of injuries to swimmers, dancers, athletes, cricketers and footballers, and has had wide experience working in both hospital and private practice settings, both here and abroad.

Gwen recently returned from Europe where she worked as a physiotherapist for the British Army based in Germany. As well as working, she indulged in her passion of travel, managing to visit 21 countries! A favourite being Tanzania, where she spent some time volunteering at a disabled school. This experience defined her future involvement in African Aid and with the Children First Foundation. A foundation designed to assist children with medical problems in 3rd world countries by bringing them to Australia for treatment. Gwen recently flew two Tanzanian girls to Melbourne for treatment and is currently involved in the development of future physiotherapy aid related projects in Africa.

Gwen’s personal interests beyond physiotherapy include; running, swimming, hiking, the outdoors and the occasional adult gymnastics class!
